Bob D'Amore joined Moffitt Associates in 1998 following a successful consulting and line management career spanning 25 years. His most recent operating post was that of General Manager of Assembly and Test Operations for The Pratt & Whitney division of United Technologies Corporation.

Prior to that assignment he served as the Director of the Continuous Improvement office during the landmark Pratt & Whitney lean transformation. In this role he was closely involved with the same Japanese masters of the Toyota Production System (TPS) who mentored and taught the other Moffitt Associates consultants. His key role in the Pratt & Whitney program followed an earlier assignment as UTC Director of Cost Management Programs. During his tenure with Pratt & Whitney he managed the day-to-day process that resulted in the development of 150 manufacturing cells and involved several hundred major continuous improvement events and the training of over 4000 employees annually.

Prior to his Pratt & Whitney experience Bob spent seven years as a management consultant, both as an independent and in association with several major accounting firms. In these assignments he participated in several early developments of the Just-In-Time methodology , most notably with several of the early leaders such as Harley Davidson. In many of these engagements he focused on Activity Based Accounting systems, redesign of MRPII systems and other non-traditional approaches in support of lean conversiions.

Bob's early manufacturing career included posts with Avco Lycoming division of Textron, Emhart Corporation and The Rockbestos Company. In these roles he held day-to-day operating responsibilities in Manufacturing Cost Accounting and Information Systems as well as leading implementation initiatives in manufacturing and financial systems.

A CMA Bob received his Bachelor of Science degree in Accounting from Quinnipiac College with high honors and his MBA in Computer Science from the University of New Haven. He has served as an adjunct faculty member at the University of New Haven and is a member of the advisory board of the Lean Enterprise Institute.

Bob conducts his consulting practice from his home in Durham, Connecticut.
